Eyebrow Microblading Aftercare

So….you’ve just had your eyebrows freshly Microbladed, what’s next? At first they may look up to 30% darker but dont panic, the color will tone down once it is fully healed. You will want to take care of these baby’s and protect them from harmful uv rays (the sun), excessive sweating, dirt, bacteria etc.

Follow these guidelines for the the best results over the first couple of weeks

1.) Avoid getting the area wet for at least 7 days

2.) Steer clear of excessive sweating i.e. a sauna, steam room, hot yoga, hiking and all those related activities

3.) Excessive house chores. I.E. cleaning or dusting areas that have not been visited in a long time. You want to stay away from any potential bacteria that can land on your face from moving things around. Old dust, dirt and debris

4.) No tanning (indoor or outdoor)

5.) To keep the area clean, always wash your hands and use a new q-tip before applying the ointments thats are provided for you at your appointment. If your brows get itchy (which they will) you can gently blot with a baby wipe

6.)DO NOT RUB, PICK STRACH OR RUB. This can cause discoloration and a potential infection

7.) Avoid sleeping on your face

8.) Do not ride in a convertible

9.) keep the area from over drying. Use the ointments as directed. If your skin type is on the oily side you may need to use it less times per day vs someone with dry skin. Typical usage of the ointments is a full 10 days

10.) Once you have fully healed use an SPF 30 to protect the color from the sun

11.) Remember to schedule your 6-8 week touch up

Lastly, enjoy your new brows and relish in the fact that you don’t have to spend all that extra time on them.  You can do something else.
